The most physically demanding sports are the ones that require you to work a little harder than others. Work in the sense that you have to train hard and do a lot of challenging tasks to be fit for the sport. Most sports require training but some of them would need you to work harder than you expect before you can be better at it. Aside from training for these sports, you would need your physical training to even make it through the whole match. 1. Rugby

Rugby isn’t a sport for kids or even the weak-minded. Rugby players require speed, agility, and a lot of strength to make it through a match. There is a tension that is involved with rugby, these people on the field engage in what looks like group fights. You need strength, in this game to overcome the whacking that you might have to go through. You need speed to try and dodge all your opponents while running with the ball to make a touchdown. Your agility is needed so that while running, no one can hold you back even when they try to. These people endure all of these things on the field for close to 80 minutes of play.
2. Ice And Field Hockey
Firstly, hockey isn’t just a game that requires you to try and score, you are also required to play this game while on a rollerblade. Every hockey player has to master the act of moving steadily on a roller Blade without getting tired. Firstly, as a hockey player, you have to go through some tough things like getting hit with the hockey puck on almost any part of your body at any time, then you have to manage to stay on a roller blade the whole time which might keep your legs burning. The game requires you to have a whole lot of endurance so you can make it.
3. Basketball
Basketball is a sport that has little to no contact among players, so it looks like something anyone can pull off. Well, just so you know, you have to work hard to get things done on a basketball court. You need your strength, speed, and jumping skills to be a good basketball player. Let us not forget that you have to keep bouncing the ball while playing this is another skill you have to perfect. You have to learn to make a basket too. The tension and the fact that professional basketball players play more than one game in a week is what makes this game even harder.
4. Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a skill that is so stressful to keep up with, these people do a lot while performing in front of people and also during their training. To enter into the Olympics as a gymnast, you have to give up a lot of things because these people train for hours every day and put their bodies through excess stress just to get to where they are. Even as they perform, they not only need physical strength but also need to be mentally sound because some of the things they do are unbelievable, and so they need to stay focused because a slight mistake could cost them a lot as they take the deadliest risks.
5. MMA
MMA is a wrestling sport. This is a contact sport so there is no way you could do this without having a lot of physical strength. With wrestling, you would have to be very brave too because sometimes your opponent doesn’t look like someone you could actually beat. Although there are rules, you still have to train a lot and put that training into practice when in the ring. You would need fast reflexes, speed, and strength so that you can make it through a fight.
6. Tennis

Tennis should be the only shocking sport to appear on this list because when watching tennis players on TV, they don’t look stressed out. They always look like they are having a good time and didn’t have to go through any training to get to where they are. Well, they undergo less physical training but they have to stand on the court and play the game for at least an hour, running around trying to hit the ball and making sure they give it an accurate hit so it hits the opponent court and not the net or go outside the court.
7. American Football
Very similar to Rugby. This is another sport that requires every player on the field to be at least smart and willing to take a hit. You have to be strong and fit to be a player here. It is not easy but It can be done. You need speed, accuracy, and a lot of balancing on your feet to make sure that you are not easily put on the ground by your opponents. You also need to have the skill to pass the ball to a teammate far from you to ensure that you do things for your team on the field.
8. Boxing
Boxing is a game for men, men with raw physical power. You would need to be extremely powerful before you are put in a boxing ring because you could get eaten alive in there if you don’t know what you are doing. Boxing as a sport requires you to have a certain level of speed, endurance, power, and a lot of mental strength. Taking a blow to the head isn’t easy but standing and being ready to take it again should be the hardest thing a man has to do. Your endurance is always at a maximum as a boxer because you lose a lot of things in every fight.
