1. Chris Webber 

It was Detroit County Day high school that Chris Webber attended in Michigan and he did well to pick up the high school player of the year award and also emerged as the MVP in McDonald’s All-Star game. For his outstanding performance, he was the top recruit in the class of 1991 and he decided to shine on with the Michigan college basketball team among many other options.

Webber instantly started as a forward for the Michigan team in his freshman year. He then accumulated a Big Ten-leading 54 steals and Big Ten-leading 340 rebounds after dominating the backboard through the season. It was a big season for Chris Webber! In that same season, Webber averaged a double-double per game with 10.0 RPG and 15.5 PPG which helped his team to win the National Championship that year. He went ahead to win the USBWA Freshman of the Year and also went home with the Big Ten Rookie of the Year Award. To add to that, Webber was also voted to the 1992 All-Region and NCAA All-Tournament teams. 

After his second year at Michigan, he entered the NBA draft and went straight to the Orlando Magic before almost immediately moving to the Golden State Warriors. In 2002, Webber was faced with what was considered the biggest challenge in his career. It all started when a scandal surfaced at the University of Michigan involving him receiving booster money. The truth is, Webber pleaded guilty to the charges filed against him, and the effect of his misdeeds remains in Michigan to this day. 2. Jalen Rose

It was at the Southern High School that Jalen Rose played his high school days. As the #6 recruit in the whole country, Rose was recruited to Michigan. Rose broke a record for the most points scored by a freshman in his freshman season with 597 points. Rose was voted on to the NCAA All-time Tournament and All-Region teams, thanks to his efforts in the 1992 NCAA Tournament in which Michigan made the finals. 

3. Juwan Howard

Juwan Howard went to Chicago Vocational Career Academy for high school and also became available as the 3rd recruit in the nation despite not planning to be among the best high school basketball facilities.

Juwan began the vast majority of their freshman season activities his for Michigan as the Wolverines made the march of theirs on the National Championship. He was a phenomenal player on the defensive and offensive sides of the ball and also can easily be looked at as the backbone of the Fab 5.

4. Jimmy King
