A runner on third base is of great value when less than two outs have been recorded.
Home Plate
The home plate was formally known as the home base. According to the rules, this is the final base that a runner must touch to score. This particular base doesn’t look like the other bases, it’s a five-sided slab, white rubber that is set on the ground. The plate is put at fair territory and is aligned at the rear edges by two foul lines. Behind home plate is the backstop, a wall that has been put to stop wild pitches, passed balls, and foul balls. In an enclosed stadium, the backstop is a lower part wall and upper part net to safeguard the spectators behind.
